MRS. JOHN CLUCAS.
As wè briefly noted in our last issue, Mrs. John Chioas, of Qurrajong, a pioneer resident of the district, passed away last Monday, at the ripe old age of 88. She had been in failing health fer the last 15 months. The late Mrs. Clucas, whose husband predeceased her by about 33 years, was a native of Goulburn, and came to Forbès in " the golden days of that field. Later she came on to the Currajong, and had been a resident for the long span of 68 years. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, to the Anglican cemetery, where the Rev. A. , E. Weston, rector of St. George's Church, read the burial service. Mr. J. T. **** had charge of tile mortuary arrangements. The deceased lady is survived by three sons and three daughters, out of a family of twelve, the sons being Messrs. James Clucas (Parkes), Alfred Clucas' (Hornsby) and Frederick Clucas (Balmain), and the daughters Mrs. J. Nicholls (Sydney), Mrs. C. Fogarty (ChinderaliJ, and Mrs, J Ryan (Birriwa). There are also 22 grand children, 30 great grand-children, and 2 great great grand-children. The late. 'Mrs.' Chicas' mother, Mrs. Warren, who was a resident here for á number of years, was over 100 when she died. The bereaved family have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their sad loss
