There are a couple of John Cummins on the Australian War Memorial neither quite fit.. One b. Young - John James Joseph and the other possibly b. Vic. mother = Maria, occ = farmer [not clerk]

The John Joseph S/N 1624 had died by 1963 and his wife was Monica.

Can't find any ref to being wounded twice.

No Cummins births in Vic. 1892 - 1896 with mother = Maria.
