They are likely in Creich, Dave, as John Scott born 1783 born Colessie and Janet Paton 1788 Creich are there in Luthrie, Creich 1851. John a farm labourer.

Creich is one of the missing 1841 census. Janet is at Cupar in 1861. Looks like John has died by then.

No me neither. They had a child with the name of Cecilia in 1823 At least it is an unusual name and close to their marriage date so could be one of the parents. Not sure they had a John or Isabella though.

Perhaps they were not using the naming patterns. George 1821 then Cecilia in 1823 then James 1825, Margaret Peat 1829 (might be a clue?), Walter 1831 and Wm 1833.
