John Lawson married to Ann Lawson and maybe Henrietta

I believe John Lawson died sometime around 1849 in Sheffield Yorkshire. He was married to Ann Webster but I believe he might have remarried Henrietta Wilson. I know he had one son William Webster who was born 2 May 1817 Sheffield and died 28 November 2883 Sheffied. I was hoping his death certificate/notice might list the names of his children.

Have you found a burial for Ann and do you know when she was born? I see the John who married Henrietta was a widower but the signature on the marriage is very different to the signature of John who married Ann Webster in 1816. He could have changed his writing as he got older I suppose

We believe Ann Webster was born around 1795 Low Abbotside Yorks and died 27 September 1825 Sheffield

I don't think it is the same man Muchelney. Henrietta is in the 1841 census with a John born 1793. This John is a Hosier and they have some children with them who can't be from their marriage in 1832. Mary Ann 1816 and Harriet 1827. Harriet is the daughter of John and Ann (Draper). I can't find a christening for Mary Ann with Ann's last name. Also if your Wm Webster Lawson marries in 1844 his father is a grocer and the one in 1841 is a hosier. That and the signature on the two marriages being so different makes me think he is not the same man

Thank you barbarajoh, Henrietta still remains a mistery. I have this piece of paper which has been passed down the family in a "black box" that is why I am chasing Henrietta. Thank you for you help

Sorry I have only just noticed this question and I am not sure what you are referring to.

barbarajoh, I have just re-read your message and it has sunk in what you where asking. There were a lot of old letters, some photographs, some draft paintings that my Great Grandfather did, original Wills of a couple of my ancestors on the Lawson side, my Great Grandfather's note book, his Lodge apron, that is all that comes to mind straight away. The oldest letter I have was written in 1826 with a dip in pen and ink.

I have two questions if someone could help me please. 1. I am trying to look at some of the data on this site and I keep getting the message to click on allow in the Show Notifications - I cannot find this and 2. I am trying to get a copy of a death certificate for John Lawson who died in 1849 in Sheffield, I have tried several sites and cannot find anything. You were toying with the idea that he remarried Henrietta but her husband is still alive in 1867 if I am reading that pdf correctly. There is a John Lawson dies 1866 in Sheffield aged 79 you can get the certificate from gro.gov.uk

Hi Barbara, thank you so much for your response. Since I posted the last post, in fact just in the last couple of days, I have managed to contact a person in UK who has a database on "Lawsons" and he has been able to answer several of my questions. John Lawson (my ancestor) did remarry Henrietta Wilson and they went on to have 4 children (whose names are on the will that I sent you. This makes them my Ancestor William Webster Lawson's half siblings & I have also been able to find his siblings from his Father John's first marriage. John died in 1885 Buxton according to this database. Thank you again for your help.
