Elizabeth b. 8 Jun 1808
baptism/christening date: 16 Sep 1808 Wesleyan Holmfirth, Yorkshire
John Hebblethwaite & Mary
Batch: C086111

I'd like a look up please for John & Mary in 1841. I can't even get to the England page in FS.

Also as Heblethwait.

Thanks,

Dave

John Hebblethwaite Male 55 1786 Yorkshire, England
Mary Hebblethwaite Female 55 1786 Yorkshire, England
John Hebblethwaite Male 20 1821 Yorkshire, England
Christopher Hebblethwaite Male 15 1826 Yorkshire, England
Mary Hebblethwaite Female 15 1826 Yorkshire, England
Frederick Shepherd Male 25 1816 Yorkshire, England
Sarah Shepherd Female 30 1811 Yorkshire, England
Herbert Shepherd Male 1 1840 Yorkshire, England

Only one I can find as possible - in Huddersfield. Do you know if they had lots more children? Think Huddersfield about 14 miles from Holmfirth. This John is a grocer which may help eliminate him?

Thanks Barbara.

Yes, it should be RD Huddersfield.

I'll have to do some more searching tomorrow. I have only the one baptism so can't say at the moment how many children they had.

I have a copy of Elizabeth's marriage and it's the type with no parents listed so I have no occupation for John unless an image for a baptism can be found.

I posted because I still have some weird issue with FS that won't let me access the census records. When FS was working I could get the full 1841 census with full ref.

In later census Elizabeth gives her pob as Wooldale.

Thanks Barbara.

Deaths before 1841 for John and Mary likely then.

Looking for burials 1806 - 1841 several in Halifax, Leeds, Wakefield but not one that looks to fit.

Thanks Geoff.

Probably not the right marriage with abode Wooldale for the NC baptisms.

The family name is much more common in areas further north. Very rare around Newmill.
