There are a few John & Mary in the area, also Yarram/Gippsland.. There is also a john Jr, fisherman and a john Sr. [fisherman] with a Mary

So not easy to prove.

of Mr. John Robertson, sen., one of the best-known
residents of the locality. He was born at Orkney
Islands 80 years ago, and arrived at Port Albert
52 years ago. He was at the Eureka Stockade.

The only probate I can see is Nov 11 in Abbotsford, he was an ex warder.. not likely.

That is a different John who is older. He also has an obit on Trove

... After having lived in the same house
in Valiant street, Abbotsford, for more
than 60 years, Mr John Robertson, for
merly a warder at the Yarra Bend
Asylum, died last week in his 91st year. ...
