Hello. I am looking for a John McKay, who I have traced from the States, back to Canada (married there in 1873), and back to Scotland - locality unknown, year of emigration unknown. His birth year is reportedly 1851, parents William and Margaret. The 1861 Census seemed like a good place to start. familysearch shows 27 matches, but with no parents’ names listed, so I’m at a bit of a dead end. Any assistance much appreciated. Thanks!
