I have no idea at all. All I know is that I can't find the marriage in Qld. or NSW.

Given the location this is a possible death for John but so far I can't see any notice in newspapers:

I didn't find it first time round but have now found a marriage notice. Says Emily is the youngest daughter.

You can see from the OCR that the names are a bit off. Emily is the 'youngest laughter' :2fun:

Did he go to Ireland to marry and then came back to Australia?

2x John son of John & Nancy both born 1857 - I doubt it.

So John & Ellen arrived 1888 - 1893. ???

I can't see them assisted to Qld. or NSW or assisted or unassisted to Vic.

It's claimed 6 siblings (David b. 1825, Robert b. 1840, Moore b. 1843, William b. 1848, Alexander b. 1850) all ended up in Australia but it's the youngest John b. 1857 who is in my tree.

It also seems likely John & Ellen arrived with daughter Bessie. So Elizbeth E would have been born between 1888 and 1893.
