John MERRIFIELD / MERRYFIELD b. bef 1785 d. ?
married 1 Mar 1806 Portsea
Christian ROWE b. 30 Dec 1789 Portsea d. ?
I believe they moved to Plymouth about 1808. John was an agent for the disposal of goods from a Prussian vessel the 'Minerva' that Christian's brother-in-law captured.

EDIT: The name is much more common than I thought in Cornwall and Devon.
John would possibly be listed as an agent, commission agent, auctioneer or broker.
I can't find Christian's death nor can I find any children.
