John was my g, g, g, g grandfather, born in Rolvenden, Kent in either 1765 or 1769. I'm searching for his parents but haven't had any success.
John's son William married Hannah Care and they came to Australia on the Maitland in 1838 with their five children, including my g, g grandfather Josephus. They had a further five children in Australia.
As the UK census records don't go back that far and the parish records are difficult to access online, I have reached a brick wall.
Any ideas from the experienced researchers??
I'd appreciate any clues.
Regards
Linda
