Not sure when spouse Anne died.

Hello cp,

Thanks for looking. The shipping record for Joshua says parents John & Anne both deceased as of 1855.

Joshua's death record only has his father listed.

The location fits:

1841
Civil Parish: Clavering
Hundred: Clavering
County/Island: Essex
Country: England
Registration district: Saffron Walden
Sub-registration district: Newport
Address: Ford End, Clavering
RUMBOLD, Joshua M 40 1801 Essex

So possibly his mother was not Anne.

Regards,

Dave

Hello cp,

Thanks.

I can't find a marriage in Essex of a John to an Emma or Anne.

One in Wiltshire to a Hannah.

No sign of births for Phillip or Hannah.

Birth for Emma b. 1826 to John & Emma - baptism at Independent Clavering

That might explain why so many records don't exist - not established church.

No sign of Joshua's birth around 1800 Clavering.

Regards,

Dave
