Just working my way though my tree. :2fun:

At least we know roughly when he was born.

I'd say probably impossible because there is no sign of a tree for this John.

No sign of a marriage on FS for James & Jane. Bad luck DAVIS is also a common name.

And i guess you havent got him on a Uk census with parents James and Jane >:D :2fun::2fun: Would be handy to narrow the years down

There would be dozens of them. So we could just pick one we like :2fun::2fun:

I havent moved on just yet. I'll find you a John Smith of some sort :2fun::2fun:

There are 3 pages of John Smith's from 1853 to 1869

Ok im moving now as well :2fun::2fun::2fun:

Ryerson does not help.

No sign of a middle name that helps.

We have an age and mother's maiden name so death certificate won't help much. The only thing would be number of years in colony.

We needed more than just 'England' on the marriage record.

Even a search of Wagga Wagga newspaper would be time consuming without even a month.

Or find a burial record. ???
