Hello,

Marriages Jun 1866
SWEENEY John Lambeth 1d 629
Marney Ann Lambeth 1d 629

I'd like a look up please for that marriage. Could possibly be MAHONEY.

If the marriage can be found and it is not a transcription but an image of the parish register then I'll do the transcription if the image could be emailed to me please.

Thanks.

Dave

Thanks Geoff.

:2fun: The tree is wrong again and so is the death reg.

NSW Death 1446/1919 SWEENEY ANN - JOHN - MARRICKVILLE

If Ann was of 'full age' in 1866 then how can her birth be in 1847?

Interesting, thanks Geoff.

I took this one as the trees had 1919:

1446/1919 SWEENEY ANN - JOHN - MARRICKVILLE

Well, it's a daughter in my tree - Laura Mary V SWEENEY so that looks a better fit for Ann's death.

Oh, Laura died 1919 and RC although her husband was not before he married her:

Death 5936/1919 WHITTLE LAURA M V - JOHN - ANN - REDFERN

The Sydney Morning Herald - Tuesday 22 April 1919 p.5
FUNERALS
...THIS TUESDAY, at 1 p.m., for R.C. Cemetery, Rookwood.

The tree I'm looking at has Harriet Agnes b. 1893 Marrickville.

Seems several did die in Marrickville.

Getting back to Kempsey..

In 1901 Armidale, about 50 miles from Kempsey there is this:

Name: John E Sweeney
Locality: Armidale
Sub-District: A Armidale Municipality
County: Sandon
District: Armidale
[3 males and 3 females]

Can't find an age at death for the 1898 one in Kempsey.

The local Shire Council charges $14 per lookup.

Ok rule out Kempsey:

Birth 18513/1893 SWEENEY ANN V T - MICHAEL - MARY C - KEMPSEY
