Oh. Johanna and son Michael. So that means there is one more son. Timothy arrived earlier with one son it seems.

Wives of Relatives in the Colony
Johanna 38 House Servt. Cork R.Cath. Neither R.R.
Michael 18 Labourer Cork R.Cath. Neither R.R.

R.R. = Remittance Regulations - that means someone in the colony (Timothy) paid a deposit.

The other two are from Tipperary.

I dunno.

Possible death 5538/1875 SWEENEY TIMOTHY - MICHAEL DIED CAMPBELLTOWN CAMPBELLTOWN

5763/1889 SWEENEY JOHANNA - TIMOTHY - MARY - WATERLOO
10663/1893 SWEENEY JOHANNA - UNKNOWN REGAN - UNKNOWN NEWTOWN
10699/1903 SWEENEY JOHANNA - MARRICKVILLE

So the 'Speedy' arrived 9 April 1855 and there is no Johanna Sweeney on the list on page 12 under heading 'Wife of person Resident in the colony'

It does look as if Johanna and Michael arrived 1860 instead of 1855. That leaves son Timothy to arrive sometime. I didn't see any Sweeney single males on 'Speedy' in 1855. And father Timothy to have arrived before 1855.

John arrived with wife 1867.

Did we tie up the loose ends?

I'm not too bothered about son Timothy but would like to get father's arrival if possible and confirm his death is 1875.

The Sydney Morning Herald - Friday 24 December 1875 p.7
DEATHS
SWEANEY.-Dec. 7, Campbelltown, Mr. Timothy Sweaney, in the 78th year of his age.

Thanks gibbo. :)

That's the place in Cork on the shipping record 1867 for son John that started me off searching for parents.

10699/1903 SWEENEY JOHANNA - MARRICKVILLE
