Hi, my name is; Carly and I am new to this site. I was wondering if someone could help me please? My Great Great Granddad was; John Thomas Tait, who was born on the; 31st March, 1858, Merose, Scotland. I have his birth and his marriage, but I can't find a death anywhere. I think it would have been around 1911, as in the 1911 Census, his widow; Jane was listed as being married to him for 24 years, and as they married in; 1911, that would make sense. But I still can't find him! Can someone please help?!

Still no sign of John Thomas, if he was a joiner at sea, he may have been away when the censuses carried out.

Looks like Jane and offspring staying with her mother in 1891, she says she is mar. but using maiden name. No sign of John Thomas again

John Thomas Tait [20] clerk, was indicted for having on the 23rd April feloniously forged a certain promissory note for the payment of money, with intent to fraud. Mr Mainisty prosecuted - The jury found the prisoner guilty, and he was committed to prison for six months.

Thanks everyone for your help! I have all of that info, but thanks anyway!
Margaret Tait, his daughter was my; great grandma. Its just so strange that I can't find John Thomas Tait anywhere else. But in the 1911 Census, it says Jane was married for 24 years, which would make marriage 1887, which is right. So John Thomas Tait is meant to have died 1911 ish. No death record I can find
