Just more thing. A Laura Morgan married 1910 Bristol one of the grooms listed is a John Townsend. So it does look like that Gladys is the right one in 1911. Stepdaughter was to Laura not to her father John Townsend.

I didn't expect her to die so young and reading the funeral notice makes it very sad.

Thank you for finding the article for me. Laura lived until she was 96 but still looking for John 's death.

That was a good find...

I couldn't find it in the index, perhaps this may be why, it appears to be a couple of miles or so from Bassendean...
