Birth 1914/01142 Busteed William John - Michael Alexander - Amelia Mary Axelsen ?

Marriage 24 April 1938/C01716 Busteed John William - Mellefont Viva Adelle

The Central Queensland Herald (Rockhampton, Qld. : 1930 - 1956)(about) Thursday 5 May 1938

BUSTEED— MELEFONT.
A wedding of more than usual inter est was solemnised at our Lady's Star of the Sea Church, Gladstone, on Satur day, April 23, when John William, eldest son of Mr and Mrs M. A. Busteed , Yaroon Street, was married to Viva Adelle, youngest daughter of Mrs 8. M. and the late Mr W. P. Melle font, Rev. Father McSherrv officiating.
The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr P. Mellefont, looked charming in a frock of magnolia bridal satin with a eut tulle veil surmounted by a halo of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of frangipanni and lilies. The bride's attendants were Miss Muriel Lush of Rockhampton, who wore a princess frock of mauve waterwave taffeta, with a headdress of mauve orchids, finished with a tulle shoulder veil, and Miss Noela Busteed, sister of the bridegroom, who was frocked in a rose pink waterwave taffeta princess gown, finished with a headdress of pink orchids and tulle shoulder veil. Both
bridesmaids earned shower bouquets of dahlias and roses. Mr Alex Briggs carried out the duties of best man and Mr Alex Him stedt was groomsman. The wedding breakfast was held in the C.W.A. hall which was appropri ately decorated for the occasion. The bride's mother received the sixty guests. Rev. On leaving for the honeymoon, which is being spent in Brisbane and Sydney, the bride wore an ensemble of navy silk cloque trimmed with fur and a matching navy toque with an eye veil.

Thanks, gibbo. :)

The wedding notice is what I needed.

1914/01142 Busteed William John - Michael Alexander - Amelia Mary Axelsen

M A = Michael Alexander so the birth reg is the only time it is William John.

our Lady's Star of the Sea Church, ...Rev. Father McSherry
How curious. That has to be RC.

Case closed. :)
