Trying to find proof that Nathaniel JOHNSON b.1726,d.1797 Westport,Fairfield,CT was the son of Timothy JOHNSON b.1693 Derby,New Haven,CT. Timothy was the s/o Col.Ebenezer JOHNSON b.1645,d.September 18,1726 in Derby,s/o Peter and Elizabeth JOHNSON.

Nathaniel's son Jeremiah JOHNSON b.1756,md.Charlotte CHASE d/o Loyalist Reuben Chase;their four children were born in Gagetown,Queens,N.B.,Canada,and their son William settled in Canterbury,York,N.B.

Yeah, not difficult to see why you need proof, there are some sources with differing details. Barbour collection, Anc., and Family Search at least. Looking at the Barbour collection separately it says it is not complete; Anc. uses the Barbour Collection but it appears to have a bit more, for example see Nathaniel's birth.. Also this, 1694 bap. on Anc. [not birth, could still have been born 1693, so worth a thought] for a Timothy in Milford, not too far from the other places mentioned, especially Derby. Shame there is no first name for his father
