There is a Joseph Godbold in a Criminal register in 04/1828. Norfolk.

Not sure if he was my chap, but is there anyone who could look please.

No way of telling if he was yours as no address or age given. You'll be pleased to hear that he was tried for Larceny and found Not Guilty.
