My 4th great uncle and I can't find him after 1861 anywhere.

Darlfield, Barnsley, Yorkshire
1861

Joseph Hallam, 31 married ag lab born Carlton
Susannah Hallam,27, wife born Hoyland
Fanny dau 9 born Darfield
Arthur son 6 born Darfield

R9/3450/16/25

Joseph was the son of Joseph Hallam and Ann Thornhill and christened at Royston in 1830
Can anyone help me find where they are after this date.

I have just discovered I have lost George born 1813 and Thomas 1808 and John 1810. Think they must have emigrated?

Very possible Rupert as Joseph senior, his father died as Allen in Darfield in 1865 and his wife in 1859 as Allen too. I did find George using Allen after that but hadn't found any of the others. But even using Allen/Allan/Allam I can't find John 1810 or Thomas 1808. Sister Harriet married George Northcliffe and is my direct ancestor.

Suppose as Yorkshire people drop their "aitches" it could easily change to Allen but still find it a bit strange that after a certain date it becomes that.
