Joseph Ives. 1904. High Wycombe, Bucks.

Joseph Ives, son of William & Sarah Jane(nee.Mendy) Ives.

Birth reg 1904 Wycombe.

1911 census. Living at 67, Richadson Street, High Wycombe. Fathers Occ. Chairback maker.

My suspicions are, he may have been in the Army before 1939. (Not showing in the 1939 Register)......or went abroad.

Father dies 1922, mother dies 1913. Both in Wycombe. So at about 18 years of age, he and his remaining sister were orphans, so to speak.

Brother and one sister die in 1917(WW1), and 1901 respectively.

Sister, Emily Jane Ives, 25 Sept. 1896, High Wycombe, also seems to vanish into the ether.

Any ideas anyone.

Can't see anything for Joseph.

I can only see one birth ref for an Emily J/Jane Ives in 1896 and that is your Emily Jane registered High Wycombe.

There is a marriage in Norwich in 1919 for an Emily J Ives to a William A Riches Sep 1919 Norwich 4b 313

Emily J Riches appears with husband William in 1939 dob 23 Sep 1896

Could this be Emily Jane?
