Thanks Geoff.

I will stick with this one a bit longer.

I should have done this with 'R' but ....

NSW Death 9026/1898 ROOTES JAMES - SIVIER - SARAH - CAMDEN

James ROOTES b. 14 Dec 1804 Beckley, Sussex

married ? March 1830 Northiam ?

Anna HICKS b. 25 Dec 1804 Northiam ?

Possibly the Sarah is an error.

That is probably a cousin.

Oh. I have found a serious problem with my tree.

Wesleyan Marriages in the Camden Circuit
No. 5
Stephen Clifton & Ann Rootes both of Cobbity Paddock
15 Mar 1855 By me Rev. Joseph Fillingham of Camden
Witnesses: James & Mary Rootes, both of Cobbity Paddock

The full record says Ann is a widow.

I think we restart at a different spot.

Work backwards from that 1855 marriage.

NSW Death 16783/1914 CLIFTON ANN - JAMES - HANNAH - BURWOOD

The Sydney Morning Herald - Saturday 5 December 1914 p.12
DEATHS
CLIFTON.-December 4, at her son's residence, The Bungalow, Nicholson-street, Burwood, Ann, widow of the late Stephen Clifton, late of Ashfield, aged 83. At rest.

The crazy thing is that it all fits 24 April 1831 Wesleyan Rye - parents James ROOTES and Hannah/Ann HICKS if we ignore the 'widow' bit.
