I wonder if it is the case that Isaac was born England and registered in Wales?

Dunno Geoff. Don't know when the family moved to and from Wales.

Born before census and died after census it seems.

This is odd.. I can't find a birth for Jane in Gloucestershire or Wales to match this. On the original It looks a bit like Jane, but could be quite easily Isaac. It doesn't give a place of birth, there is a mark in the female column, but anyone could have put it there..

Death reg for Isaac's brothers James and Joseph both have middle initial L and I'd say it was Lear.

At least Joseph used his middle name in marriage reg and 1911. James didn't.

The closest I can find for Joseph. 1911 has born Bristol.
