Can anyone see, or find a marriage for Joshua Janes to an Elizabeth.

You know when you look at something, and it doesn't seem quite right.......well, the baptism for Mary Janes is for Joseph & Elizabeth, not Joshua.

No Joseph Janes to be found in Princes Risborough, nor Lacey Green, apart from a Joseph Janes, born 1718. ???

Mary Janes gives her fathers name as Joshua at her marriage .......

Marriage - 25 Dec 1841. by Banns. @ St Mary's, Princes Risborough.
James(x)SMITH, aged 22, Bachelor of Lacey Green, Labourer son of James Smith, Labourer
Mary(x)JANES, aged 20, Spinster of Lacey Green, Lacemaker daughter of Joshua Janes, Labourer.
Witnesses - F A Meade & John Ayres.

Joshua Janes in tow, in the 1851 census, as father-in law. 1841 census, with both daughters.

I guess there is a slight error with the transcription with Joshua/Joseph.........been there before, many times.

Oh well......here I go, off to BucksFHS for his marriage I guess. Bang goes my Mars Bar again.:'2fun:
