Hello everyone,I have just joined and not sure what to do.
I have traced my family back to 1642 mainly in Staffordshire. I am up against a brick wall in looking for anything on Phyllis Laurette Harris born Liverpool in 1920. I would like to find anything on a marriage or death. Is there anyone who could help me.

Hi Jane,
I have just had a email from FH UK to say that I have not used the site for several months and that you had posted a message asking how I know Phyllis.
Phyllis Laurette's father and my father were half brothers and I have quite a bit of information about the family.
My father was in an orphanage because he was young when his parents died. My mother and my father knew nothing about his family so I set out to trace them. I came up with Phyllis and much more and I and trying to find people alive today that I can speak to about our family who were closer to these people than my father was.
I do hope you can help.
I would give you my email address but I am not sure if I am allowed to post it in these messages for us to get in contact.
If you use this site frequently maybe you can advise me or post you own email address and I would be in contact with you as soon as I pick up your return message.

Looks like you & JanieB1902 will have lots to talk about. :biggrin:
You are right it's not wise to post your email address in the general forums. If you click on JanieB1902 name in her post it opens up a drop down menu. One of the options is to send a private message. You can exchange emails there if you wish. You each have your own in box that are totally private.

Hi Bomber, i see you are from my Grandfathers hometown. Born at 25, New St. Altrincham in 1876. Is it still there.?
