Hi Everyone,
Spent many years up the family records office in London ( not literally) so not exactly a newbie. But I would like to find out several lines I have a brick wall with. But first has anyone out there used The Genealogist pay for website? I have used Find My Past (very good) but it was quite dear and The Genealogist
seemed very good value, until I started using it. There was so many silly mistakes that they had transcribed from each census (1891 being the worst) I questioned whether they were transcribed by people whose first language was not English.I have spent most of my time correcting their errors for them, as I already had a lot of info, otherwise I would never have found anything out! Sorry for the long post!
Happy hunting.

Hi Lord Lost

I have used The Genealogist and Find My Past. The 1891 can be bad for mistranscriptions. No wonder why I cannot find my ggggreat aunty Elizabeth Roberts there.

Welcome to the forums welcome

Hello and welcome to the site good luck with your research. Yes I agree with all the mistranscriptions, I guess some ancestors we are never going to find
