I'd like a look up for both families in 1851 please.

I can't find them so far in FreeCEN. I don't know where John and Margaret were born. Although I don't have a birth/baptism I believe Elizabeth was born in Alloa.

Thank you very much.

That is interesting. As I said, I have not found a birth/baptism for Elizabeth but there is a family connection in previous generations to Abercorn, in particular the hamlet of Society.

Two of the children are with uncle and aunt in 1851 making me wonder if both parents had died before 1851. I'll now look for a death for James.
