NSW Death 484/1901 KEMP JAMES H - WILLIAM - MARIA S - ARMIDALE * 14 Feb 1901

The Sydney Stock and Station Journal (NSW) - Fri 1 Mar 1901 p.2
DEATH OF A PIONEER.
From Armidale comes word of the death, on the 14th February, of Mr. James Hadden Kemp, of Alderbury, Armidale, who has been ailing for some time, and entered the private ward of the Armidale Hospital, in January last, when everything that medical skill and careful nursing could devise was done, without avail. The late Mr. Kemp was in his 72nd year, and was born at Fort Pitt, Chatham. He was the fourth son of the late Major William Kemp, of the 16th and 80th Regiments, who came out to New South Wales in 1842 in charge of a detachment of soldiers on the transport ship 'Asia,' accompanied by his family.

Looking for the marriage of William to Maria, thanks.

NSW Marriage 2705/1861 KEMP JAMES H - CASWELL ELIZABETH M - PORT MACQUARIE

The Sydney Morning Herald - Mon 28 Jan 1861 p.1
MARRIAGES
On the 18th instant, at St. Thomas' Church, Port Macquarie, by the Rev. F. R. Kemp, James Hadden Kemp, Esq., of the Macleay River, and fourth son of the late Major Kemp, 80th Regiment, to Elizabeth Mansell, daughter of Thomas Caswell, Esq., Lieutenant R.N.

That 1844 burial for a Thomas Caswell fits for location but seems to be the wrong one. So how does the 1844 one fit in?
