born 23 Nov 1811 Horsley Gloucestershire married Clara Jane Wells (1810-1879) on 8 June 1834 Horsley – departed 13 Aug 1839 Bristol on “Orestes” - Charles & Clara Jane + 2 children Alfred age 4 & Edward age 2, some of Clara’s family also on board – arrived 28 Nov 1839.

Charles parents = Isaac Shipton (1776-1864) & Elizabeth (Lizzie) Hawkins (1777-1848)
Clara Jane died 24 March 1879 – buried Waverley Cemetery

Kezia b 18 Sept 1840, married 6 Oct 1859 – died 18 Oct 1887 Goulburn
