The 1863 marriage and the witnesses show it to be the right family.

Where is Joseph J. born abt 1838 in 1851 and 1861 and 1871?

Yeah, that's why thought it was him in 1861.

Clouding the issue is a Joseph Lee, ships cook travelling back and forth to NSW, a bit of long shot, but his family may have travelled on one of those trips, but I can't see them in the manifests
