I am looking for William Lee, born act 1879 in Yorkshire, possibly Sheffield. He married Edith Elizabeth Priestley Belton (b. 1881 in Sheffield) 1904. They had a son in 1906, Edward Ernest. William was a master plasterer.

Have you any other bits of info which could help identify William. Do you know if he had any siblings. Seems strange Edwards birth was in Latin, as nothing else seems to be. Could be the Vicar I suppose.

If you think the 1901 census is your family, let me know if you cannot get the 1871/81 or 1891 returns.

Yes the 1901 is the right family. I am sorry I do not have much else to go on.
My father-in-law has told me that Edward, his father, was an only child. The latin is possibly because of the church. I have been told a story where Edward's aunts took him one Sunday and had him baptized in the Catholic Church. His Mother was not happy.
