Hi. I was wondering if someone could shed some light on something for me. I have a Leonard Walker who married Catherine Jordan. I have 2 records. 1 on ancestry which gives the date of Oct 1918 in Ashton and one 21 Dec 1918. See below.

Marriage: 21 Dec 1918 St Edward, Lees, Lancashire, England
Leonardum Walker -
Catharinam Jordan -
Groom's Father: Jacobi Henrici Walker
Bride's Father: Stephani Jordan
Witness: Samuel Taylor; Amy Taylor
Married by: Archibaldus Bartlett
Source: Original Register

Now i have him on a census in 1891 with parents Robert and Elizabeth Ann. Now i have his father dying 1915 so i'm guessing that the groom's father may actually be another relative perhaps.

Can anyone helps shed some light on this.

Leonard is on the 1901 census in the civil parish of Oldham born 1893 Royton with a Randolph Walker age 6 born Shaw, classed as sons but parents aren’t transcribed with them on the familysearch site.

I know Catherine Jordan married a Leonard walker and I know he died young. I've got that from relative. I'm also aware that Catherines father is named as Stephen through a relative. Do you believe the Leonard I have to be incorrect?
