Linux

#1
Hello, I write this with a sinking heart!
I have used FTM for years without problems (currently FTM 2017). However for reasons I won't bore you with, my windows pc is now defunct.
My tree is on Ancestry and I can still add to it etc. I have downloaded a GEDCOM file as a back up to my new computer, which again for reasons difficult to explain (gift)
is a pc with LINUX mint, ubuntu as the operating system. I loved FTM and was very familiar with it. I could continue just using the Ancestry online tree but would like a user friendly Linux programme. I have looked at one programme for Linux but don't like the look of it. (I am a bit ancient)
So can anyone out there offer the best solution??
If only FTM was available for Linux!
Thanks for your time
