Hi all,

This is my 1st post (apart from one in Introducing yourself) so if I'm in wrong place please except my apologies.

I'm looking for my GGGrandmothers grave which we (me and my Grandfather) think is in Abercarn, South Wales. She passed away in 1958. Today my grandfather gave me a few more details which might help me. He told me his grandmother is buried with her husband (my GGGrandfather) who died sometime in late 1930 early 40s and he also gave me his nanas address, which is where she lived most of her adult life, she also died at that address.

What do I do now to obtain any info on my GGGrandparents final resting place? As I am Holidaying in the north of Wales in Aug and would love to go and find them, so I can later take my grandfather to them and also to see his old house, his nanas house. (his grandparents brought him up which is why I want to do this for him)

Thanks guys

Hi Two Bears
You seemed to escape our notice. So here goes !!

To help you , we need names, addresses, dates of birth, or marriage, anything we can use to help you.

North Wales is a long way from South Wales on a whim.

Come back to us with the details and we will try to help before you go on your travels

Hi hun

This is the info I got out of my grandad and what I could get from google search.

George Symes (my GGgrandad)
Born 1873 Somerset, Pounceforth, Monmouthshire
(coal miner)

My GGGrandmother name was Elizabeth. I have no idea what her maiden name was or when/where she was born.

I have no idea when or where they were married.

George passed away before Elizabeth but my grandfather is 100% certain that George and Elizabeth are buried together

They both lived at 14 Goodrich Crescent, Malpas and that is where Elizabeth passed away.

Ive pestered my grandad so much about any info he may know and all get out of him is "oh we didnt ask questions like that in my day" yet when I showed him a print off from google maps of Goodrich Crescent he seemed to remember nearly every one of his neighbors, there kids etc lol.

Hope some of this info helps.

Thank u xx
