Looking for information on Edwin Lock who was son of William Lock and Caroline Cole from Newport, Isle of Wight. He had a brother Frank who supposedly came to south africa together. Edwin married Elizabeth Hall Wild in Grahamstown and I have details of this marriage, however, he married a second time and I need those details to complete my tree.
Any of Edwin and Elizabeth's offspring (10 or 11 of them) I would like some details here too please.
Tks

Hi Julie. Thanks for reply. I need date of marriage and full name and dates birth and death of 2nd wife (the usual), as well as names of children they had. I also want to confirm names and dates of birth and death of the children from Edwin and Elizabeth.

Thanks again. But I did not make myself clear. I need Edwin's marriages. His first wife was Elizabeth Hall Wild, and then he remarried. I have an Isabella Lock who was from the second marriage, and need information on all her siblings, both full and half ones. How do you find all this information? Why can't I?

Hi Jack,

The reason I posted the info was to give dates to work from as you had not given any, its quite impossible to find people without the dates and places. The information is available on the internet. There are many sites available Ancestry is one of them but most of their resources are pay per view, I use Ancestry but as I have a membership so using them frequently dosnt hurt the purse, so I'm willing to do look ups. I'll put some links below.

You will need to look at the South African records for his 1st marriage and for any children born in SA.
