Hi Nev,

Samuels birth certificate would confirm his mothers name, but there is a marriage in 1838 district Macclesfield for a Peter Johnson one of the brides listed is a Sarah Wilson and there are Wilsons lodging with them in 1851, but you would still need to get the birth certificate.
