Looking for a marriage for years please help

I was wondering if somebody could please help me, for a numbert of years now my family and I, have been searching for a certain marriage between of my grt grt grandparents; Their names were:

John Joseph Sullivan b c1865 and Ellen Chapman b c 1867. They had a few children Catherine born st Andrews Lambeth 1890, Elizabeth born Lambeth 1894, Ada E Sullivan bap 30 Aug 1893 Lambeth St Thomas (she then died approx in the same yr) and Beatrice Maud b1900 Clare Market London.

John Joseph was a printer/ printers assistant and he listed his birth in Clare Market, London. Ellen who also has been listed as Ella and Lillian stated her birth in Chelsea.

They are on the 1891 census, 1901 and also 1911 census. The reason we know that 'Ellens' surname is chapman is because my mother has obtained her grandmothers birth certificate, and also Beatrice Mauds birth certificate which states her surname.

Please please could some one help me find the last piece of the puzzle

Hi Thank you for your swift reply; yes as i stated John Joseph listed himself as being born in Clare Market London and he was a printer or printers assistant. It is the last one on your list that is my family member. However its the 1911 census that states that they were wed 20yrs and Beatrice Maud was not on that census. In the 1901 census Catherine was 11 yrs Elizabeth was 7 yrs and Beatrice Maud was 7 months.

Hi yes the ref. no. for the 1911 census is (RG14PN1199 RG78PN41 RD14 SD1 ED3 SN105) I searched for them under my grt grandmother Catherine Sullivan.

I noticed in 1911, Ellen gives her p.o.b as Chelsea.

John Joseph Sullivan, may have been missed off.

Hi dave, my mother and I found that one few yrs back and keep coming back to it, because the other two people on that page were Ellen Rich and a William Matthews 1d 1432. We keep looking at it to see if maybe there was a transcription error as there seem to be no other plausable options. All we know is that they were definately John Joseph Sullivan And Ellen(ELLA/LILLIAN) Chapman.

I have also recently found a possiblity for John Sullivan , however it is the 1881 census, and this is only going by his age he has given,place of birth and also his occupation.

Con 10 St Clements School 48 clements lane London. Again this is only looking because of the age of John, The place of birth and his occupation; but if this is the case then the marriage above will not be correct

Hi,

Do you know who Henry Bellwood age 6 with the Sullivan's in 1891 is?
I had a look for him but nothing so far. Lilian Sullivan gives her place of birth as Kent in 1891, Ellen 1901 N (not known?)

Hi Julie thanks for replying; I have no idea at all who Henry Bellwood is, and yes ellen/ella/lilian is a confusing woman, she has also stated that she was born Chelsea. Now for someone who doesnt know London districts, its making it hard for me.
