Looking for a william bainbridge/baimbridge

Hi just wondering if anyone could give me a starting point on my wifes grandfather.
The details that we have are he was born William Bainbridge or Baimbridge we think he was born Jan 1903 ? and was a burma star veteran, we think he may of had a brother Tommy unfortunatly we dont know anything else, he lived in Huddersfield with his wife margaret and 5 children.
The reason for the different spelling of the surname is on paper cutting from his death it is spelt both ways.

I know this is probably a wild shot but any help would be appreciated

Thanks very much for that, my wife says different members of family used bain and baim so was very confusing but glad that it happened further back too lol this is definatly them as she thought they had 6 so pressuming one of the daughters (pat) either died or left years ago .....

Hi Dave, sorry to come back to you after so long but with one thing and another this has been far down the list .... my wifes grandmother is Margaret Stott J, born Nov 1913 and we have her mother as Clara A M Starkey born 1887 and if we are following the correct lead then we have Claras father as James Starkey but thats as far as we have got without hitting a brick wall. Any help would be appreciated if you can help, Many Thanks

married bertie starkey in 1910, so how is it her full family in the 1901 census (BEFORE they were married) are also starkeys ?? were does the name stott come from then ?

1881 census gives James HARKLEY 34, Clara 25, Florence S 7, Lewis M 4.
