looking for hocknull

can anyone help me find more on my hocknull side of the family- il give u the dewtails i have - george hocknull born landbach cheshire 1830
his kids - george born 1867
annie born 1869
but could anyone find who is wife was and george born 1867 is my great grandad could u see if u can find links for him being the father of
charles, richard,annie,poly and poss a emma but not sure i think it mite b on the 1901 census but not sure thanks

all of the above was born in west bromwich as you can see i found 3 annie 2 charles and 2 pollys.

marriages:george hocknull to either a mary pointon or susaannah morton 1888
george hocknull to either a mary hughes orlouise roycroft buffey 1901
both in west brom

dont know if any of this will help so ill keep looking hun xxx

hiya joe yea iv got polly 1910 buy my nan was born then iv found charles 1890 and richard 1905 but cant find who george was marred tothe one born in 1830 all i now that he was a shingler and the one born in 1830 died in 1903 so i a done too bad just wantedto now if anyone could get a census with all my nans family in

Kaza - I have been researching the hocknull family name for some 20 years - Hocknull is effectively a spelling mistake that was settled upon and is a completely unique surname - with the exception of a very few Hocknulls in the Manchester area I can confidentally say that every single Hocknull in the world can be placed on the tree. The trial goes cold in Sandbach with two brothers who moved to West Bromwich from there the entire family grows with the hocknulls that moved to Glasgow in Scotland ( the tree from John above) via Barrow in Furness from Scotland a branch moved to Austrialia (the most famous Hocknull being Scott Hocknull Young Austrailian of the Year) and a branch that went to America although they were female so no Hocknulls there except for the Golfer who is Scotts brother from Austrialia !! some Hocknulls also moved to Rotherham from West Bromwich but I have had a little problem putting that branch together. I can assure you that every single Hocknull can be tranced to the two brothers from Sandbach in Cheshire who moved to West Bromwich - I myself am Peter Warden Grandson of Elizabeth Hocknull who married Edward Turley my mother was Roma Turley get in touch if you want more ****.

Hi Peter, I am related to the Hocknulls, George and Susannah are my GG Grandparents. How did you find that George had came over with a brother as i cannot find George with his brother on any census records. Im thinking i may have to visit the chesire archives to find out more.
I have found out quite a bit about my family line, things that i didnt even know about.

Hi Elaine - just need to check we are talking about the same George because there are a lot of them !! Your GG Grandfather was George Hocknull born 13 august 1866 in Holyhead Road Wednesbury - he married Susannah Morton who was born in 1868 in West Bromwich - they were married on April 15 1888 at St James Church Hill Top West Bromwich.
They had children 10 children Georgina, charles,john,william, Polly, Emily, Annie, Edith, Joseph, George

yes that is the right family, I have the grave no of William that you are talking about, I also have a picture of it.You could try putting email address through a private message or i could to you if i can remember how to do it.
I also have a picture now of Susannah. I also know where susannah and George are buried. They are buried together at Heath lane. So is my Great grandmother but she is in a paupers grave.
Which one of the Hocknulls are you related to?
