Hi everyone,

Just so you know I am new to this site!!!! (so please bare with me)

Just thought I would ask if anyone would be kind enough to help me try and find some info as I have hit a brick wall!!!!!! a big red one!!!!

Trying to get further info on a:

Charles Trojan Bell, born June 1883 in Edmonton, London

Annie Wallace (Charles's wife) born around 1883, Camberwell, London??? not sure on this!!

x3 daughters (Elsie Annie - 1902, Doris Maude - 1905, Olga Evelyn - 1910) and x3 sons (George -1908, Walter Charles Edwin - 1907, Edwin River - 1911)

George, Olga and Edwin all born in Solihull.
Elsie, Doris and Walter all born in London areas

Charles had a long and successful military career from the start of the WW1, receiving several military medals for his service.

Charles and Annie married in June 1902, in Kingston, Middlesex.

I am looking for the parents and siblings of Charles and Annie, any other info on this bunch would be fab!!!

Hope all this info helps, let me know?????

Thanks

HI Suzanne,

Welcome, The only thing i could find at all on your Charles is his military record, from reading your information you might have all this, it does have all the kids exact dates of birth but i think u might already have that, the one thing that might be contridictory is that he first enlisted in 2 dec 1914 and at that time he was 32, so if he was born in june his year should be 1882, but of course that could be a mistake on the records
sorry, i could not find a birth registery or anything to bring u back further.:'(

If you have any other names brothers or sisters that would help. Names can get mistranscibed birthdates may be wrong too, even exact place of birth can vary. So it helps to have a cluster of names. He may have followed his fathers occupation too so that may be a clue.

Thank you for that information.

Sorry, but I don't have any info on brothers or sisters for Charles or Annie, really struggling with these two at the moment.

Hoping their m/cert will open another door by the end of the week!:-\

Will let you know, but in the meantime will try a bit more searching tonight.

Thank you again.

Julie

Thank you, sorry taken a while to come back to you.

Been on Genes and Ancestry searching for brothers/sisters of Charles Trojan - think I might have found possibly 4 brothers - just need to do a bit more digging (under the brick wall!!!) rather than trying to take it down brick by preverbial brick!!!

Thanks again, have logged that info. Appreciate your time and help.

I know you said Doncaster but I've found a Thomas B Bell 1835 in London who was a Railway Guard at Paddington but he was born in Crossthwaite Westmorland wife Florence.
