Hi Sterico,

Her name could be Sarah Ann Harborne. Theres a Sarah Ann Harborne born 1864 Aston. There is a marriage for a John Hill June 1/4 1881 district Ahton and a Sarah Ann Harborne is listed, but there are a couple of other Sarah Harbornes born earlier, so it could have been one of them who married a John Hill. Best bet would be to get one of the childrens birth certificates.

Hi Sterico,

While looking up your James Thornes death by narrowing it down on the census to when he was last recorded, no luck yet, but found Samuel Thorn with John and Sarah Hill in the civil parish of Heysham looks like Samuel married Bertha Hill. Do you want the info?

The name I found was Sarah Ann Harbone, not HarboRne. The marriage ref. is 6d 379 (Q2 1881, in Aston), and she's in the 1881 census in Aston with her father George, at 6 Bussells Buildings Rupert Street. The marriage certificate should clear it up, for £7 (well, d'ya feel lucky? :p ).
