looking for parsons/ gay marriage

i would be grateful if anyone could find for me the marriage of my grandparents maud elizabeth gay (28.2.1916) to james john parsons (born 30.9.1914 or 1913) in islington, london. they would have been married i suppose in the early 40s or late 30s (my dad was born in 1946).

i really need their parents names and maiden names so i have some links to research!

Was your dad the 1st born? this will narrow down the years and have replied
on your other thread about obtaining his marriage cert.
