hello all
im looking for my ggg/dad know he was born knaresbrough in 1823 edward mountain saunders ive a little info wed sarah ann barker in 1844 in leeds states his dad was john a innkeeper also edwards death cert 1873 in sheffield they lived in leeds /sheffield/oxfordshire have his children but know info
the other person is my granddad thomas patrick kelly born ireland his dad was also thomas led to believe his mum died in childbirth &was reared by his g/parents thomas wed a mary aherne in the parish mounmellick in1913 1 daughter baptised 26/4/1914 they moved to bradford before my mum was born in 1920 he has 2 daughters living in bradford in there eightys but dont seem to know much after mary died he rewed a lillin burgess in bradford in 1943 states his dad was a r.s.major tried to find info no luck might need the luck of the irish for this lot i will be grateful for any info many thanks pat

thanks for the datesfor the busy kelly clan maybe thats why i cant find him not enough time to surface ha ha seems like a lot of info on them so how would i go about getting a birth/baptism records they seem illusive
as for the saunders lot thanks gibbo as you say i have some census records but still hitting brick walls dont seem to be getting anywhere tried a researcher in northallerton she only came up with what we had also to go further it would cost $500 dollars also we paid for info for ireland a lot of info came back but not for our family so any help from your talented members would be excelent i will keep digging up the bones you never know someone might be able to help
is there any cds on any records that would be worth buying

the other person is my g/dad a illusive irish man thomas patrick kelly he wed mary aherne in mountmellick his first daughter was born on 26/4/1914 and baptised on 2/5/1914 church of mountmellick they had a rest for 6 years in that time he could have been in the army hence no kids sometime in that 6 years they moved to bradford my mum was born in1920 when mary died in 1943 he wed again same year to a lillian burgess on the cert it states his dad was a r.s. major but found no info would like a birth/baptism/record bet you wished you had not asked some puzzle eh thanks so much im grateful for any info

Civil registration for births/marriages and deaths only come into been in 1837. For the times before 1837 we have to rely on baptism records, church records and burial records.

So with Edward been born around 1823 we have to try and find a baptism record for him. There wont be a birth certificate for him.

I dont have access to a lot of the records but hopefully another member might be able to help us.

I just found a slightly different death notice for his wife Ann.

Thanks Dave for the census. Since John didnt show up in the 1841 census i guess he must have died before then.
