looking for Welch regiment

Am looking for any info on my greatgrandad
Ernest william Hurst
I know that on the 28 october 1923 he a drummer
2nd Welch regiment of 13 b block assaye married quarters colchester
I got this info from my grandmothers birth certificate but I cant find
out anything else I have looked on ancestry to no luck and I have Welch
gaurds web site any advice gratefully recieved ,

The Welch Regiment (41st & 69th Regiment of Foot ) is NOT the Welsh Guards.

There's loads on them in Gooogle, and they seem to have a pretty good regimental museum. They should be able to help you.
