Its more what order the names come in. Joseph White is the middle and the end of the lane is Four Lanes End. It is the neighbours I am trying to find. I am trying to find out whether the Brittains were near neighbours to Whites and whether there were Cockaynes or Thorpes as near neighbours too.

The record would be good as I still can't work it out. I have it in my head that the Brittains were close neighbours to the whites at West house but a book says different so I went to look for my records and can't find my notes or the census record.

Hi Each line I posted was the surnames of each person in the household. There could be more than one person with the same surname.
The list was all the households listed Norton Lees. There are loads of other listing as below, so you can see it is nigh on impossible to send a copy unless you know which one you want

Sorry I am looking at Whites neighbours 2 to the right and 2 to the left to see if the name Brittain comes up. I know Brittains lived in Norton Lees for a very long time but I don't know where they were living in 1841. I thought they were next door neighbours to the WHites but that doesn't appear to be so.

Sorry I'm not being much help. Helen Britain 50, the only Britain I can find is on page 19, the Whites are on page 17.

No that is a help. If she is not on the same page as White then both the book and I am wrong. She wasn't a neighbour at that time.
