Lost Marriage!

dovercourt but born Enfield
Hi all I am having a bit of trouble locating the actual marriage place of John Heard and Mary Ann Warsh(Wash), Free BMD has it in June 1886 in Maldon, Essex.
Trying to save some money I have invested in a SEAX subscription as I am hoping to get lots of info but its all gone wrong at the first hurdle!
I have searched all 35 parishes that make up Maldon in 1886 but no joy!
There are 5 parishes that do not have images so the marriage may be in one of those!
Any bright ideas as to what to do now apart from spending £11 on the cert!
No wonder I couldn't find the marriage it was held in the Southminster Congregational Church - and they do not have anything on line!
Still no further on brides name as cert has surname as Warsh - which I believe should be Wash as on census etc
Yes I have had that before, searched all parishes in the registration district. Then have to order the cert and it took place in a NC chapel or the registry office.

The 1891 census has Mary Ann’s mother and siblings surname Wash, they are with the Heard’s. Daughter Sarah born 1888 mothers maiden name Wash.
Thats the main problem Julie - is it Wash or Worsh or Warsh!
I can see that as most of them signed at their marriage with an X they probably couldn't say but as we all know in genealogy you just need proof:love:
