MA Bursary available

New member
A bursary, equivalent to the value of the course fees (£3,390), is available for our MA in Metropolitan and Regional History. It will be awarded to a student admitted for entry in October 2006.

Based at the Institute of Historical Research, the MA takes as its main theme the nature of the relationships between large cities and regions in history, focusing on the history of London and the English localities from the middle ages to the present day. It is an ideal course for those wishing to research the history of their own communities, and introduces students to a wide range of ideas, methods and sources. Students can also take IHR training courses (free of charge) on topics such as: databases for historians; interviewing for researchers; sources and techniques for family historians; British sources and archives.
