Hello cp,

Thanks.

Annie E ended up in Australia. She married a BARRACLOUGH in 1919 IN ENGLAND :D

I have a copy of the 1919 marriage at St Giles.

I don't have her arrival yet. YES I do. They arrived back in 1922. :D Married.

The following people with the same last name travelled on this voyage: -
Mrs Annie Evelyn BARRACLOUGH age 23
Peter Naunton BARRACLOUGH age 2
Ship: NESTOR

Now I know where the middle name Naunton comes from.

Regards,

Dave

:D Scarry you are disussing my family here - Annie was my dads cousin and yes the family lived in Bedhampton and please note that the name has an s on all of the Makins entries, not to be confused with Makin from further north in England.

I do have a copy of the family tree researched by a family memeber in Tasmania, kindly sent to me from Oz.

I have just been to Torksey in Lincolnshire and noted all the gravestones at the village church there.

Hence today I have started to see what else is on the net. A much larger amount than when I looked 4 years ago. Please do reply as I believe I have a good idea who you are !

Hello Diane,

Not too scary I hope ;) and welcome to FHUK.

Yes, but sometimes transcribers leave the S off the name.

My great grandmother is a BARRACOUGH so that's the connection. I was just filling in a few gaps on a limb of my tree. I also wondered where the middle name Naunton came from so now I know. The BARRACLOUGHs liked to add such middle names Askham and Armitage which helped me get to an earlier generation in the tree.

Regards,

Dave
