Hello all and Happy New Year!!
I have been doing genealogy for about 35 years. My English roots include: Robson, Sewell, Goulding, Exworthy, Shutt and many others. I also have Scottish lines of Allan, Hall, Galloway and Wright. I live on top of a mountain in Pennsylvania, USA and am a retired financial anaylst. My husband and I enjoy watching all the wildlife (deer, bear, turkey, etc) from our enclosed front porch. I love to reveal family history to our friends and family. I look forward to making some "cousin" connections thru this forum.

Hi
Welcome to the forum, let's hope you do make some 'cousin' connections in the UK.I have a great uncle on my mothers side who moved to Pennsylvania via New York some 50 or more years ago,but unfortunately have no other details.Am hoping to reverse this since my sons fiancee moved just a couple of days ago to the UK from Idaho.
Good luck in your searches.

Hi Mallory,

I am researching my uncle's tree. He has the surname Sewell in his tree. They appear to be based in the London area, Rotherhithe, Bermondsey, St Olave and Southwark, 1860 - 1930's.

Further back they appear to be in Deptford, Kent.

More specifically, three generations of William Sewell.

Does any of this info match yours?
