The only deaths in NSW for a Thomas Bennet are after 1950 so they are ruled out.

Margaret may have arrived without parents. Can't find on Assisted to NSW as Bennet or Bennett.

I can't find Thomas and Anne in 1851.

etc She was born at Bowling, in Scotland. Her father was chief engineer on a boat and with him she travelled all over the world. Coming to Sydney when she was about nineteen, she met the late Mr. Perry on board the boat on which she was travelling. They were married in Sydney on their arrival and set out to cross the Blue Mountains. etc

So appears that Benjamin and margaret should be found on the same passenger list if the obit is correct.

So going by Margaret's age at death and been around 19 when she arrived so about 1870/1871 and appears Benjamin arrived then as well.

So that confuses me with Margaret's obit as she met Benjamin on the ship, but then she travelled with her father at times so could have met him anytime anywhere.
